Features
Everything you need to run a newsletter inside Microsoft 365
One tool that lives where your work already does. Send from your own mailbox, bring your audience straight from Microsoft 365, and keep every newsletter inside your tenant's compliance boundary.
Sending
Send from the mailbox you already own
Your real work address
Newsletters send through your own Microsoft 365 mailbox over Microsoft Graph, from your real address, with no shared sending pool.
Inbox reputation you already earned
Because mail comes from you, inboxes treat it like the everyday email they already trust, not a marketing blast filtered on arrival.
Paced, visible sends
Large sends spread within Microsoft's per-mailbox limits, and the live view shows which batch is going out and when a paused send resumes.
Audience
Your audience, straight from Microsoft 365
Unlimited contacts
Store your entire audience at no cost on every plan. You are billed on the emails you send, never on the size of your list.
Import from Outlook, Bookings, and OneDrive
Pull contacts straight from Outlook, your Microsoft Bookings customers, or a file in OneDrive, with no export and re-upload.
Groups and distribution lists
Send to a Microsoft 365 group or distribution list, kept in sync as a living segment. Available on Growth and up.
Hosted signup forms
Add a signup form to your site with double opt-in, bot protection, and a customizable confirmation email.
CSV and Excel
Import a spreadsheet and map its columns to your contact fields, including any custom fields you define.
Segments and history
Group contacts into segments for targeted sends, with permanent subscriber history kept as audit evidence.
Unsubscribes handled for you
Every newsletter carries a working unsubscribe link, and a send will not go out without one. Opt-outs are honored on every send, survive re-imports, and are recorded as permanent history. Readers can leave one type of email instead of all of them, and the page can run on your own domain.
Domains and reports
Branded links on your own domain, and the numbers to prove it
Branded links on your domain
Add a custom domain for tracking links and short URLs that carry your name, not ours, on Starter and up.
Delivery and click reports
See delivered, bounced, and unsubscribed for every send, plus click analytics on every link once a custom domain is connected.
See the newsletter as sent
Open the exact rendered newsletter that reached recipients, straight from the campaign, so what you shipped is never a mystery.
Team and trust
Built for the way Microsoft 365 teams work
Bring your team
Invite teammates on Growth and up and send from a shared mailbox or alias. Everyone on the team shares the same access.
Inside your compliance boundary
Sent newsletters are ordinary Exchange mail, so retention, litigation hold, eDiscovery, and DLP rules apply automatically.

Questions, answered
Still unsure? The free plan needs nothing but a Microsoft sign-in.
Do you really not charge per contact?
Correct. Every plan has unlimited contacts. You pay for the emails you send each month, and Free includes 10,000 sends. Grow your list as large as you like without growing your bill.
Where do my newsletters send from?
Your own Microsoft 365 mailbox, using your real work address. Your newsletters are never relayed through a third-party sending service, and there is nothing new to set up.
Do I need a Microsoft 365 business subscription?
Yes. SimpleNewsletter365 is only compatible with Microsoft 365 business subscriptions that include a mailbox. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported.
Will my email land better here?
Generally, yes. Your newsletter goes out from your own work address, the same way you send everyday email, so inboxes treat it like mail they already trust. Email sent from newsletter platforms' own servers is more likely to be filtered. This applies on every tier, including Free.
Are there sending limits?
Microsoft enforces per-mailbox limits, around 10,000 recipients per day. We pace sends to stay within them and spread large sends over time, and the live send view shows exactly which batch is going out and when a paused send resumes. High-volume senders can connect more than one mailbox.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Growth adds up to 3 team members and shared mailbox or alias sending; Scale removes the seat limit. Everyone on the team shares the same access, so a group can run one newsletter together.
How are unsubscribes handled?
Automatically, and you cannot get it wrong. Every newsletter carries a working unsubscribe link, and a send is blocked if that link is missing. Opt-outs take effect immediately, including for a send already in progress, and they survive a contact being re-imported later. Each one is recorded as permanent subscriber history. Readers can unsubscribe from one type of email rather than all of them, and you can host the unsubscribe page on your own domain and write the wording yourself.
Does this fit our compliance and retention policies?
Yes, by design. Newsletters are sent through Microsoft 365 as ordinary email from your own mailbox, and a copy is filed in the sending mailbox. Your organization's existing retention policies, litigation hold, eDiscovery, and data loss prevention rules apply to newsletters the same way they apply to everything else you send. Your newsletters are never relayed through anyone else's sending servers.
