Import your contacts
Last updated June 30, 2026
Your audience lives in Contacts. Contacts are unlimited on every plan, including Free, so you never pay to store your list.
Import a list
- Open Contacts and choose to import.
- Upload your file and map its columns to contact fields (email, name, organization, and any custom fields you have defined).
- Review the import summary. Imported contacts are recorded in subscriber history as an audit trail.
Only import contacts you have a lawful basis to email. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
Custom fields
Define custom fields in settings to store the data you personalize on, such as plan, city, or signup source. Custom fields are available as personalization tags in the editor.
Segments
Group contacts into segments to target specific audiences. A newsletter is sent to the segment or contacts you choose at send time.
Keeping your list clean
Unsubscribes and bounces are tracked automatically, and unsubscribe state is honored on every send. Keeping your list engaged protects your own domain reputation.
