Set up a custom domain for branded links

Last updated June 30, 2026

A custom domain lets your newsletter links and short URLs use your own brand instead of ours, and it is what turns on click tracking and link analytics. Custom domains are available on Starter and above.

Why it matters

Click tracking rewrites the links in your newsletter to redirect through your domain, so it requires a configured, ready custom domain. On Free there are no custom domains, so you still get delivery, bounce, and recipient reporting, but links are not tracked.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Link domains and add your domain.
  2. Create the DNS records shown for your domain at your DNS provider.
  3. Wait for verification. Once the domain is ready, set it as your primary link domain.
  4. New sends will rewrite links through your domain and record clicks.

With a ready domain you can also create branded short links that match your brand.
