SimpleNewsletter365 needs a Microsoft 365 business tenant with mailboxes. There is nothing to install in Exchange or Outlook. This page covers what an administrator needs to approve and allow.
Consent and deployment
- There is no centralized deployment: users sign in with Microsoft and the app asks for permission when it is needed. The full list is on the Microsoft 365 permissions page.
- If your tenant restricts user consent, an administrator approves the app once. The mailbox apps have no verified publisher yet, so on the default consent policy this approval is needed before anyone can connect a mailbox.
- Sending from a shared mailbox also needs Exchange Send As (or the matching delegation) for the person sending.
Region choice
Each organization picks EU (West Europe) or US (Central US) once, at sign-up. Customer content and activity data stay in that region. Billing data is the exception and may pass through the global service in West Europe. There is no migration between regions: moving means deleting the account in one region and creating it in the other. Details are in the Privacy Policy and the subprocessor list.

Removing the account and its data
Owners can delete the organization in the app. Deletion removes account-scoped records and stored images, and revokes and deletes the encrypted mailbox tokens. Subscriber history is kept as anonymized audit evidence, and opt-out state is kept so opt-outs are honored. See the DPA for the processor-side detail. You can also revoke the app in your Microsoft tenant at any time.
